TNI Indobatt Hand Over Public Health Transport to Bani Hayyan Village in South Lebanon

(TNI Information Center). The TNI Indobatt Task Force XXIII-N / UNIFIL handed over Public Health Transportation for Bani Hayyan community in support to UNIFIL's commitment to help the Lebanese government amid the Covid-19 pandemic and the economic crisis in Lebanon.

 

The TNI Task Force Commander (Dansatgas) Garuda Contingent (Konga) XXIII-N / UNIFIL, Lt Col Inf Prasetyo Ari Wibowo, S.sos, MIPol., along with the Head Village of Bani Hayyan and its Civil Affairs staffs inaugurated the project located at the Municipality office, Bani Hayyan Village, South Lebanon, Monday (9/11/2020).

 

In his remarks, the Indobatt Commander expressed his gratitude and happiness as they could stand among a friendly Lebanese population while given the opportunity to join the Peacekeeping Mission. As a peacekeeping force, it is Indobatt task and responsibility to maintain security and stability in the Southern Lebanon under the peace-building framework, he added.

 

In addition, the Public Health Transport assistance was in the form of a minibus vehicle which was particularly aimed to transport the elderly and local patients who require medical service at Bani Hayyan village.

 

Meanwhile, during the vehicle inspection, the Mayor of Bani Hayyan Village, Mr. Yahya Jaber, on behalf of his residents, expressed his gratitude to CIMIC Indobatt Konga XXIII-N, East G-9 Sector, and Civil Affairs for their endless efforts and aid provided. Moreover, this UNIFIL's funded-project could be realized due to an intense coordination and cooperation between the Head of the Civil Military Coordination (CIMIC) Section of Indobatt Konga XXIII-N Maj Marine Rohmad, East G-9 CIMIC Sector and Civil Affairs.

 

To date, the UNIFIL and the Indobatt have provided a number of humanitarian assistance to Bani Hayyan village in various fields including health, environment, social and development, so as to establish deep and binding relationships with the community.
