The Indobatt Konga XXIII-N / United Nation Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) Task Force facilitated the distribution of medical supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from the UNIFIL East Sector bde to South Lebanese citizens in two different places, namely the Jabal Amel Union Municipality Et Taibe building and the Al Addeise Social Development Center which both are under the Alfa Indobatt Company Area of Responsibility in South Lebanon, Tuesday (17/11/2020).
The Commander of the Indobatt Garuda Contingent Task Force XXIII-N / UNIFIL Lt. Col. Inf Prasetyo Ari Wibowo, S.Sos., M.I.pol., while accompanying the UNIFIL Sector East Commander Brigadier Gen Luis Jesus Fernandes Herrero Francisco Jose, expressed his honor and pride for the trust mandated to his CIMIC team from the UNIFIL Sector East Bde to assist the aid. He further stated that facilitating the aid to the community is in accordance with the Civil-Military Coordination (CIMIC) program of Indobatt Task Force.
According to the Commander of the UNIFIL Sector East, such activity was a concrete effort of the UNIFIL's commitment to assist the Lebanese government in dealing with difficult situation amidst the Covid-19 pandemic while enhancing good relations between the people of South Lebanon and the UNIFIL Task Force.
Meanwhile, in the handover ceremony attended by the President of the Jabal Amel Union Municipality Mr. Ali Taher Yassin, Kaem Makam of Hasbayah Kazaa, as the community representative, expressed his gratitude to the UNIFIL for the attention and assistance provided. All of these assistance are all needed by the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
