TNI Garuda Contingent is Ready to Carry Out the Nation’s Mission in Central Africa

A total of 850 TNI soldiers who are the members of the Rapid Deployable Battalion (RDB) Task Force of the Garuda Contingent (Konga) XXXIX-C Mission de l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour La Stabilization en République Démocratique du Congo (MONUSCO) is ready to carry out the nation's mission in Central Africa.

 

It was the written remarks by the TNI Commander-in-Chief Marshal TNI Dr. (H.C.) Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P read by the TNI Inspector General TNI Lt. Gen. TNI (Mar) Bambang Suswantono, S.H., M.H., M.Tr. in the departure ceremony of RDB Task Force Konga XXXIX-C MONUSCO Task Force 2021, at the TNI Headquarters Plaza, Cilangkap, Jakarta, Thursday (14/1/2021).

 

The TNI Commander-in-Chief said that TNI soldiers on UN missions were not only known for their combat abilities, but also for their ability to win the hearts and minds of the people in their assigned areas.

 

"With the principle to win heart and mind, their presence shall be accepted by the people there," he said.

 

At the end of his remarks, the TNI Commander-in-Chief underscored that all personnel should carry out their duties with full responsibility, enthusiasm and dedication, while paying attention to security factors and preparedness for any developments in the situation in the assigned areas.

 

"With the training, skills and knowledge, I am sure that the RDB Konga XXXIX-C MONUSCO Task Force will be able to carry out this task well. Turn the previous Task Force's experience into lessons learned that can support the soldiers' later tasks, ”concluded the Commander.
