TNI HQ Dispatched Two Task Forces For Peacekeeping Mission

The TNI Headquarters dispatched two Task Forces namely the TNI Garuda Contingent Rapid Deployable Battalion (RDB) Mission de l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour la stabilization en République démocratique du Congo (Monusco) Task Force Chalk 1 2021 and TNI Garuda Contingent United Nations Interim in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Chalk 3 2020, at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang, Monday (18/1/2021).

 

The total of 205 personnel of TNI Konga RDB Monusco Task Force Chalk 1 led by Col Inf Sandi Kamidianto comprised of 156 Indonesian Army personnel, 38 Navy personnel, 11 Air Force personnel and including 22 TNI Women personnel. They were dispatched to Congo Central Africa using Ethopian Airlines.

 

Meanwhile, the UNIFIL Task Force Chalk 3 led by Capt Inf Eko Sugiarto comprised of 186 personnel namely 109 Army personnel, 57 Navy personnel, 20 Air Force personnel and not to mention 20 TNI female peacekeepers. They were dispatched to Lebanon using Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft.

 

Both peacekeeping task forces were released in a departure ceremony led by the Commander of the TNI International Peace and Security Center (IPSC) Maj Gen TNI Victor H. Simatupang M.Bus accompanied by the IPSC officials.
