TNI Held Mass Vaccination in Bali

(Puspen TNI). As part of the commitment to assist the Indonesian government to carry out the national mass vaccination program, TNI held mass vaccination in Bali (21/4/2021). 


The 4-day mass vaccination which targeted mostly the economic actors resided in Bali are overseen in person by the TNI Commander-in-Chief Marshal TNI Dr. (H.C.) Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P., and the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Si..


According to the TNI Commander, the event which was started today will be held in three locations, namely Bali Galleria Shopping Center which spends 3000 vials of vaccine, Bali Waterboom 2500 vials and Kepaon Praja Raksaka Sport Hall with 740 vials. 


Marshal Hadi stated that the reason why the mass vaccination event is being held in Bali is to support the government's policy that is to robust the national economic recovery.


"By involving TNI and Polri in providing mass vaccination in Bali, it is hoped that this program could revive the economy particularly the tourism sector which eventually will accelerate the national economic recovery" he added.


He further explained that TNI has prepared 80 vaccinators consisting TNI and the Indonesian Police members to execute the event. Moreover, the vaccination is free of charge and refreshments have been prepared for those who are not fasting.


In addition, the types of vaccines which are given during the mass vaccination event were AstraZeneca and Sinovac while acting as the event coordinator is the Chief of Medical Military Regional Command IX / Udayana, Col Ckm dr. I Made Mardika, Sp. PD, MARS, FINASIM.
