(Puspen TNI). TNI Commander in Chief Marshal TNI Dr. (H.C.) Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P. and National Police Chief General Pol Drs. Idham Azis, M.Sc., attended the Social Service and Revival Service (KKR) in the framework of Christmas and New Year, taking place in the courtyard of the Regent's Office in Wamena, Papua, Saturday (11/30/2019).
The TNI Commander in his remarks emphasized that the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) will always be at the forefront to overcome all problems that occur in Indonesia, and are always present in the midst of the community to overcome the difficulties of the people around them.
"The TNI and Polri are always ready to help overcome the difficulties of the people around them such as disaster management that occurs throughout Indonesia, starting with an epidemic in Asmat, an earthquake in Lombok, an earthquake and tsunami in Palu and several natural disasters in Indonesia," he said.
On this occasion, the TNI Commander said that Christmas would soon arrive and the spirit of Christmas was a spirit of gratitude for God's gift and love between humans in spreading goodness. "As a child of the nation, the TNI and Polri want to share with the community, especially the people in the Wamena area," he said.
"Towards Christmas on December 25, the TNI and Polri always pray for Christmas to bring peace because the TNI and Polri continue to maintain security so that the celebration of Christmas can be carried out safely and peacefully," he said.
The TNI Commander appealed to the people of Wamena to jointly guard and continue to do the best for their fellow children in maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). "I invite all Papuans, especially Wamena to always protect the natural wealth including Indonesian culture," he said.
"I am very grateful to be able to visit the land of Papua, namely blessed land and in fact Indonesia is also a blessed land, starting with abundant resources and various ethnic groups that are so diverse and very rich in culture," said Air Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.
The TNI Commander invited the people of Wamena to always spread goodness like Christmas love which always brings a sincere spirit of togetherness. "May Christmas love always accompany our daily lives and make this country peaceful, peaceful and prosperous," he concluded.
During the Social Service event, TNI Commander in Chief Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto symbolically handed over nine-basic necessities to residents and 18 motorbikes from the Indonesian President Ir. Joko Widodo received directly by the Wamena Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB).
